Discover the 49th Winterthur Music Festival

The 49th Winterthur Music Festival takes place from 7 to 18 August. 12 days, 7 stages, 100 acts, 60,000 visitors in Winterthur's Old Town. 9 out of 12 days are free. This is unique in Switzerland.

The festival has established a firm place for itself in cultural and social life. For 12 days, it is a meeting place for the whole region - a meeting place for people of all ages and all income levels and social backgrounds. Around 1,200 volunteers and a 48-strong volunteer organising committee make the festival possible in the first place. This togetherness helps to enrich the local cultural scene and provides low-threshold access to live music.

Varied family programme

Practice makes perfect. This also applies to attending concerts and developing a healthy personal relationship with the Musikfestwochen. The Festival OC has prepared some super fun and colourful experiences for children.

On the two children's afternoons on Sunday, 11 August and Wednesday, 14 August 2024, we will be on site with a stand on the church square. The kids can look forward to a cool course with various elements such as stacking stones, wooby balance boards, slackline and palettino. There will be a prize for everyone who takes part.

You also have the opportunity to take part in a competition with great prizes. We will be at our stand from 2 pm to 5 pm and look forward to seeing you!
