The footprint could also be slightly reduced again in 2022!

Stadtlandkind has already compensated 40'756 KG CO2e

According to the fact sheet on the long-term climate protection strategy, Switzerland aims to reduce emissions by a good 80% by 2050 (base year 2019). In doing so, the Confederation is pursuing the following long-term climate targets.

  • On August 28, 2019, the Federal Council adopted the "net zerotarget". By 2050, Switzerland should no longer emit any greenhouse gas emissions on balance.

  • On January 27, 2021, the Federal Council adopted its long-term climate strategy. Ten strategic principles set the guard rails for Switzerland's long-term climate policy. In addition, the long-term climate strategy sets targets for each sector and shows possible developments up to the year 2050.

  • Remaining emissions that are difficult to avoid must be offset by so-called negative emission technologies. The long-term climate strategy shows the possible need.

As in the past three years, we would like to make a small contribution and work towards climate protection and the important environmental goals. After balancing and offsetting the emissions, we are very pleased to have received the new certificate for "Partner in Climate Protection" from ClimatePartner also for the year 2023.

In 2022, we were again able to reduce our footprint from 6,300.7 kg CO2e to
5,055.9 kg CO2e by using recyclable packaging material such as the kickbag wherever possible, working more in the home office and dispensing with unnecessary packaging material. We have also completely eliminated flights to trade fairs in 2022.

We also promote the achievement of global sustainability goals (Sustainable Development Goals), such as the fight against poverty or the improvement of living conditions in emerging and developing countries.

ClimatePartner's two new labels as of April 2023

In the future, ClimatePartner will drive a two-label strategy with different levels of amibitons:

  • The new labels will no longer be based on a claim/claim of climate neutrality

  •  For the label "ClimatePartner Certified" all 5 steps in the climate protection strategy are obligatory and make them publicly visible on the Climate-ID page.

The "Climate Neutral" label can still be used until 2024, after which it will be replaced.
