The love of nature and a childhood in the Alps combined with creative urbanity characterise the backpacks and bags from Essl & Rieger. While the products of Essl & Rieger are designed in the studio in Bern, the production is carried out in a family business in the Czech Republic.
Behind the label are Bernese women Andrea Essl and Anja Rieger. The origin of the Essl & Rieger collection is the Georg backpack, which Andrea's father brought to the market in Austria 50 years ago. Since then, this backpack has been an ideal companion in the mountains, on the playground or on the commute to work. The design of the backpacks and bags from Essl & Rieger embodies timelessness, functionality and aesthetics. The use of high-quality cotton sailcloth and leather from Europe and the traditional production in a family business in the Czech Republic give each product an individual appearance.
