Play kitchens – creative worlds for little chefs

A play kitchen is more than just a toy – it opens the door to a world of imagination. Children love watching adults cook and want to imitate what they see. In a play kitchen they can create their own menus, stir ingredients or play “restaurant” with friends. Our play kitchens are made from sustainable materials like wood or recycled plastic and feature realistic details such as turning knobs, ovens with plexiglass windows and small sinks. This creates an authentic environment for hours of play.

Materials & equipment

Wooden play kitchens are sturdy, durable and pleasant to touch. They are made from FSC-certified wood and painted with saliva-proof colours. Plastic models are lighter and easy to clean – ideal for the garden or children’s room. Many kitchens come as a set with dishes, pots and play food. Accessories like markets or market accessories expand the play world, allowing children to set up their own shop or café. Thanks to modular construction, you can expand the kitchen over time.

Learning aspects & role play

While playing, children learn important social skills: they share tasks, agree on dishes and serve lovingly prepared meals. Role play encourages language, fine motor skills and creativity. By naming ingredients and “measuring” amounts, they develop a sense of numbers and sequences. A pull-along toy can be used as a shopping trolley to “buy” ingredients. This makes the game even more varied.

Care, safety & gift ideas

Make sure the play kitchen stands securely and that all parts are tightly screwed. Remove loose screws and regularly check stability. Wooden surfaces can be cleaned with a damp cloth; plastic parts can also be rinsed under warm water. Another advantage: play kitchens are a timeless gift that brings joy to boys and girls alike. Add a set of play dishes or a children’s cookbook to make role play even more varied.
